Please allow me to indulge in another set of gem-cut metal rings, this time from Japan's Yull (Yukiko Shimazaki). I love how being awry makes them wry; i.e., they're set askew on their bands, for an added level of humour.
Hong Kong's FABcessories has more faux gems in acrylic, including lots of emerald cuts, if you're tired of diamonds.

The thought of exposed nerves really frays my own. But even in my unnerved state, I can admire this "Nerve Ending" series — literally nerves of steel — by Taiwanese artist Yufang Chi, who expresses a desire to "transcend [her] own body."

I'm back from my break with an acrylic, neon, futuristic BANG. Check out "T.M.B.I.A.M.S.", a wild collaboration between fashion designer Carly Ellis and product designer Richard Darlington, both of the UK.
Here's some more neon acrylic. Replacing traditional brass, the "Knuckring" is by Brooklyn-based product designer JPDesign (Jon Patterson).
