Coma / Mar Sánchez / Granello / Karafuru
PC LOAD PEARL: pearl beads printed with quaint animals, from Japan's Coma. If you could just go ahead and check them out, that would be greaaaaat. They're better than 37 pieces of flair.
While we've got office spaces on the mind, this embedded staple ring (with staple-y shank!) by Spain's Mar Sánchez is probably not an ode to Gareth's stapler, but I'm going to take it that way. Visit her site for plenty more, including a series based on Invisible Cities. (When I started this post with Mike Judge, I did not see myself ending with Italo Calvino.)
"Pebbly Crown" ring with pearls from Japan's Granello (Akiko Ishida).
Hand-painted pearls from Japan's Karafuru.
